About our school

We hope that all children will enjoy their time at our school and that they will develop the confidence to tackle the challenges ahead of them.

"I think that this school is the best. I think the teachers are nice and we have rainbow rules. If you are good you get awards. I like the dinners and I like the trips. When you are in year four you get the chance of being an 'Alexandra Ant'.
I do not want to leave."

The fundamental aim of our school is to provide a disciplined, happy and hard-working environment in which children of all abilities can achieve success in a broad range of activities.

More specifically, we have seven general aims:

        • To provide a bright, busy caring and purposeful environment where children feel happy, secure and well motivated to learn.
        • To achieve literacy and numeracy for every child.
        • To provide a broad, balanced curriculum which encompasses the National Curriculum and ensures continuity, differentiation and progression.
        • To assist the children to become independent learners, show initiative and meet new challenges with confidence.
        • To cater for each child's social, personal, moral and spiritual development.
        • To provide equality of opportunity.
