This committee is not involved in any of the discussions regarding the setting of staff pay levels or contracts. Nor does it get involved in disciplinary procedures. The sole purpose of this committee is to come fresh to the case as an appeals panel if necessary. The committee would deal with any staff grievances which were formally raised. Advice would obviously be sought before this committee ever met.
